Don't know how we will pick yet, but we will find a way. Bottles of Gentleman Jack, or even Single Barrel will not hurt your chances. LOL!

couple interesting points and a few questions;
First let me say, this is impressive and I'm looking forward to the release of this product. Could certainly change the way folks look at audio upgrades on these bikes.
  1. RCA output voltage, 2 or 4?
  2. 4 channel (without reflash) what exactly does that mean?
  3. 2 ohm, I likey
  4. IP66, again an added value for longevity
  5. Exact size opening, that I really like
  6. Plugs directly into 23 pin radio connector. Does that mean no external control module will be needed for handlebar controls? if so that it awesome!
  7. Weather band... what's that? lol
  8. opening face? to insert an iPod inside of the unit?
  9. will that be a stationary connector type deal or like the media trays?
I don't think many who really understand what this means will compare this based on price as much as they will on functionality, features, and quality.

The new Dragonfly Radio will be:
*4 channel (without re flash)
*2 ohm stable deck power (double any other aftermarket radio ratings)
*IP66 (unlike any radio that can currently work in a HD fairing)
*Direct connect for USB, works with IPod, Pandora, Sirius (at no extra charge).Sirius will steam from smart phone Blue-tooth without the need for receiver purchase. MP3 Player, Thumb Drive Stick.
*Blue-tooth
*Full color screen.
*Exact size opening of HD fairing hole.
*Directly bolts in (no extra adapters needed)
*Plugs directly into 23 pin radio connector.
*LCD; so it can be seen in direct sunlight
No Promises, but I am working hard to get the Weather Band in it as well.
PLUS all the items the other radios have.
F+R RCA, SUB RCA, Electronic crossovers, Remote turn on for amps.Play list control, charge music device, AM/FM,
It will have an opening face, however due to it being a larger face than a car stereo the IPod will not fit inside on Batwing fairings due to the ignition switch. Those bikes will utilize the USB cord that goes to the saddle bag. Road Glides, and detachable fairings will be able to insert IPod, in radio, and second cord. Bat Wing Users might have enough room to install USB Thumb Drive Stick in front of radio. Will know more when

At best all the radios talked about being put in HD fairings only have 4 of these line items, and some not even that. We are truly hoping it is looked at for what it does, and not compared by price to radios that don't come close to offering the same features.

1) The radio will be a 4V output on the RCA's giving a stronger signal input for amplifiers.
2)4 Channel without "Reflash" is referring to the Harley Radio that must has a Reflash if wanting the fader to work.
3)Yes all of this companies head units are 2 Ohm stable on deck power. Perfect for anyone that just want to add a head unit that either has Stock, Boom, J&M, Hog Tunes, speakers.
4)By being IP 66 it shows is is able to be outdoors and not get hurt. look how much dust a computer collects in side your house nest time you blow it out. It also means you can spray with water from any direction and NOT HURT IT. As we all know electronics and water mix about as well as oil does. See below.
http://www.mpl.ch/info/IPratings.html
5)The exact size of the opening really helps with larger display screen, and larger buttons.
6)At this point it looks like it will be a connector module, as there are other options as play Sirius, RCA in, RCA out ETC. It comes included and plugs into radio easily though.
7)Believe it or not a lot of users have become very reliant on the OEM Weather band, so we are doing all we can to include this.
8) It is a sliding tray format that locks they player securely inside. We tried for several months to make something work to be able to open face on E Glides, but that damn switch is just to big. for you guys it will be in a bag just like the HD unit.

Hell to the no is right. all my CD's got jammed in my 8 track player and I can't get them out. LOL.
I will keep baiting people on the new radio and make a decision when the time is closer, but the Gentleman and Single Barrel are still not bad ideas.
Also love me some Apple Pie. LOL

Well boys I bought my Polk MM65.1 and MM69.1 Speakers and the 5.25 to 6.5 adapters tonight. Should be getting my Soundstream amp delivered this week. Excited for the new install to start. Couple of other items to buy first such as 8 gauge amp kit, 6x9 adapters for saddlebags, and can't forget to get my radio reflashed and oh yeah my Polyfill (hope my wife can go without a pillow for awhile) I just want to thank everyone that has helped and given me advice hopefully it's what I'm looking for. Im going to hook it all up to factory radio and see how it sounds if it works for me great if not plan b is in sight... Aftermarket radio. Thanks again I will be in touch when doing install I would imagine.
