they are blasting the chrome. its all done and back together. turned out great. like the parts were always this color.

i still havent gotten the damn bolt out yet. im not starting or moving the bike. i drained all the oil out. magnet didnt fit and i cant see it at all with a mirror and light. my friend at harley is looking at another RG tomorrow thats all torn apart to tell me what the next plan is. hes not sure if the oil pan is open to the tranny or if it just has an oil supply tube. it may be a closed case... if thats the case i might have to take my whole tranny out. that would suck

I know this might be a dumb comment but have you searched the entire work area (floor) under and around your bike?

yup i sure have. im trying to locate a friend with a borescope to try and see it inside... i think it would make it much easier being able to see in there

Worst comes to worse, if theres a Harbor Freight near you they have bore scope camera for about $90... The hose vacuum idea is a good one if you can't get magnet to cach anything. Just be patient... and pray...
