Can you tell me the reason for the monotube purchase? I have a 2005 and from what I understand, one fork tube has a monotube and the other has spring but I am not sure. I am just curious if you are replacing for improved performance, or just to replace a worn set?

I'm going with the lowered, to drop the front 1". The newer bikes do not have the tube suspension that the older ones did.
