Default Adding riders Back rest

After a week of having my new 2012 SG, I went to the dealer and bought everything needed to put on the detachable riders back rest $437 otd.
I went with the 4point docking hardware so that in the future I can add the Mid size tour pack.
Just for kicks I ask the service dept how much to install it, they said 1 1/2 hrs labor....Nice try I thought.
I went over to a Brothers house and we had it installed in 1/2 hr and we did not know what we where doing, after practice we could beat that time....
The slow down was that the riders upright did not match up with the docking hardware, we had to bend it out at least 1/2" to fit....
When my GF got home last night she said I thought you put the back rest on, I said we did, the hardware is on, the butt ugly Back rest is in the shop, Im not leaving that ugly thing on if your not on it....
The moding begins, I have a list to do, as soon as the VA lets loose of the funds....
My list so far....
1) 12.5 Chubbys.
2) Stagr one Fuel moto pipes and air cleaner and Tuner.
3) Maybe Woods 555 cam.
4) Klock Werks 6.5 windshield.
5) Mid size tour pack.
And Im sure the more I read on this site the list will grow....
Im 60 years youn now, so maybe this is my last new Bike....

Love my backrest, hate the way it looks.

I like my backrest, I just don't understand why it's "Adjustable" when the only useful position is all the way back. I actually wish it would go back a little more.
