Default Detachable mounting points

Can anyone help me out with the docking points on an 2005 ultra? I have just installed the kit for the tour pack and now I want to add the back rest docking points. Question is: Will I need to remove any of the docking kit that I just installed. The allen heads for the docking points for the tour pack seemed to be rounding out. I got them back on ok, but if I remove them again I think I'm going to have a problem with the bolts getting them tight again. If the front docking kit is different so I don't have to remove the rear points I should be all set. Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Steve

Default RE: Detachable mounting points

the detach backrest rear docking point will go on with the detach tour rear .... prob is, you cant get the backrest on when both are installed cause the backrest hooks first up front and then rolls down to the rear one....there are three docking points on your bike...one by the shock(front for backrest), one on a convoluted L bracket(rear backrest point), and the one for the front of the detach tourpak(it goes on the rearward bolt of the chrome upright at back of fender)....then ya got the loopy one for the rear detach which wont interfere but does look goofy to me....the front one for the tourpack is the problem one....you can however go to the hardware store and get another chrome buttonhead with the allen(one you stripped) and then install em all....you'll just hafta take that one off and replace it with the stock bolt everytime you want to run the backrest with no tourpack

Thanks for the information. I don't want to change bolts every time.
