I use a app on my phone called Pure Gas. Guides you to stations that sell gas not corn liquor. Check it out.
Hey thanks for the heads up on pure gas. the wife and i travel quite a lot durring the summer, and we have often wished we had exactly what this app does. It's great. Thanks again.
I would put in what they had and enjoy the rest of the ride. Get your 91 octane at the next fill up. Funny how some people use octane boosters when the manual actually says use of these will damage the fuel system.
"MILWAUKEE (June 27, 2011) Ideal for use in areas where premium fuel is not available, Screamin' EagleŽ Super Octane Boost (P/N 94867-10, $4.95) from Harley-DavidsonŽ Genuine Motor Accessories provides a 3 RON (Research Octane Number) boost to the posted pump gas octane. Use of higher-octane gasoline may reduce engine pinging and heat, and improves performance in higher-compression engines. Formulated with a powerful detergent, Octane Boost effectively cleans fuel injectors, carburetors, and intake valve and combustion chamber deposits with just one treatment. One four-ounce bottle of Octane Boost treats one motorcycle tank of fuel. Safe for use with catalyst and oxygen sensor equipped bikes, Screamin' EagleŽ Super Octane Boost is the only octane additive tested and approved by Harley-Davidson Motor Co., for use in Harley-Davidson motorcycles."
Common occurrence out here in West Texas more map dot towns than not only have one gas at the pump. Next high octane gas just might be a tank and a half away. I just carry some octane booster with me. A word to the wise however make sure if it is going to be in your bags for an extended period of time you check it periodically to insure it is not about to leak.
