Texasrich> To be totally honest with you, when I filled up my 96 inch motor, the feature on the odometer "miles to empty" would be around 248-250 right after fill up.
With the 120R right after fill up it shows 230. Now with that being said, I don't know if it's accurate or just a generalization of how may miles are left till empty.
I rode to Daytona's Bike Week Friday and rode the entire weekend and back home on Sunday (155 miles each way, not including riding around town all weekend), and filled up three times, and was really never below a 1/4 tank of fuel at anytime!
As others have said the fuel mileage/consumption is really not an issue to me, since it's not my main means of transportation. I would say, it does burn a little more fuel, but not enough to take the fun out of riding it
Matt
How hot did she get in the bike week traffic? Did you get stuck on main street and have her heat up or was it about the same as the stock engine?

hd_rolling,
Anyone who knows or has been to Daytona Bike Week, surely knows the traffic can be retarded crowded
To answer your question, I would say it does run hotter than a stock 96 CI motor! I did not have any overheating problems, and never got hung-up in a traffic jam to where I thought about shutting the engine off.

nice numbers, I'm going to ask a really dumb question though...how is that puppy on fuel? Once you get over the urge to constantly twist that right hand, I'd be interested to know what kind of range you could expect. Thinking about going 124 myself rather than spend the $5k I was going to spend upgrading my 96. Can't cost too much more.
My 124" gets around 215 miles to a tank and that 6 gallon. The worst it ever got was 160miles and that was right after it was installed
I have wanted to get one of these since they came out, and riding my buddy's RG with one in it this year sealed that deal. I'm not saying I'm gonna try to blow up my 96 as an excuse, but it will probably seeing quite a bit of the top 1/4 of the rpm range til it does, haha.
