well only a few scratches on the chrome bag gaurds. my jack never bled down before i always had the dog engaged but it never settled on it so it wasnt a concern. what a sound though, i thought someone drove through the garage door. i cant wait to ride and see how it rides with new oil. it used to bottom out 2 up if u didnt see a whoopdee. so i tried mobil 1 atf synthetic in the rears which hd said is an air shock no oil in it and not serviceable.

When you engage the dog, YOU should let the jack down to engage 'said dog'. You now know why it should always be of concern. Hope you enjoy your test ride...
That sucks dude, I feel your pain.
I always use straps when my baby leaves the floor, and I keep the kickstand out too. I had a jack leak down on me once on my Triumph, the kickstand saved it from flopping onto the floor.
"Never trust a jack to hold! Never!" Thanks for the warning..!
I had mine up on a jack while reading this post. I will heed your good advice.
Down safely on wheels and stand now.
I guess I'm lucky. With my bike being lowered, I have to roll the front wheel up onto a 2x4 to be able to get the jack under the bike. I always set the "safety" on the jack, but I have accidentally lowered it too fast and all the way down....bike wont fall over....well, unless I have the front or rear wheel off.
