I used the SE255 in my 2012 FLHTC and I was impressed. Like you I chose what I finally thought was best for me and quit reading after making my head swim over cam and dyno numbers. I narrowed down to the TW222 or the SE255. I went with the SE cam for the type of riding I do. I am no racer. I just wanted more power where I needed it for my two-up interstate riding and for passing. Do these cams work? Ask the Illinois State Trooper who surprisingly let me off with a verbal warning yesterday. He was second in a line of three cars yesterday on a two-lane road and I didn't see him there-unmarked car. I was up over 90 mph with just a throttle twist from 60 mph in seconds. He said he was unable to lock onto me and clock me and never had a driver of any vehicle pass him like that. I offered to tell him how fast but he declined. Good cop, good cam.
Op don't Let these guys bum you out about your cam choice and dyno numbers. I called Andrews about my 103 before purchasing cams for my bike. The 48 was the right choice for your stock compression ratio and low end torque. According to Andrews the 54 and 57 are soft down low without a compression bump. Peak numbers might be higher, but they will also be at a higher rpm. Since I installed my 48's I'm trying to decide How to increase my bore size without giving up those cams. I couldn't be happier with my choice. As someone else said, If you like it, That's all that matters!
