Default heavy breather question

looking to add one to my 12 ultra classic. looks like i need the shorter version so not to interfere with lowers/compartment? my accessory catlg shows chrome only-i really want black. does anyone know if black is available in the shorter filter or if the longer filter will fit with some tweaking? thanks!

Wimmer machine makes many variations of this setup.

yes the housing remains the same for all of them. the filter is the only thing different so yes you can get the combo of both. I have it on my bike and I must warn that its expremely loud, kinda like a pop sucking combo type sound. very noticeable increase in the mid and high end too.

Yeah, damn it. I was all set to add the HB, or the Ventilatlor but found too many references to the significant intake noise. Doubt I'd mind it on a bar hopper, just not sure I want it on my cruiser.

ive had both and am currently using the ventilator and its really not as bad as everyone makes it out to be. You might notice it at first but you quickly forget about it. I have 15k miles on mine and ride all over the country and i have no problems with it.

maybe I'm just used to it, but I've got the ventilator and I can't really say I even notice any extra noise. My buddy has the heavy breather on his road king and he's never even mentioned it being overly noisy and trust me, if it was, he'd say something.

Yep, definitely a sucking noise ... it doesn't bother me since I wear ear plugs anyway to save what little hearing I have left.

Yeah like everyone else says, I dont notice it anymore but when I first got the bike started after adding it holy sh*t was it loud!! I will admit tho i WAS used to it until I put the cams in and now its louder. But, I love it, the pulsing of the intake matching the beat of the exhaust.

I run the Heaver Breather on my King. I don't even notice the sound anymore, maybe my pipes are drowning it out?
