I don't get your logic. Unless you just want a new bike. I don't see how putting yourself in more debt helps you otherwise. Every time you trade you are losing money.

If you want to be rich, you gotta live poor.

If you want to be poor, you gotta live rich.

Your current bike is fine. Put the money you were going to spend on an extended warranty and use it to pay down your loan.

Then ride your current bike with pride. Don't let your ego drive you into the poor house.

Very little real difference between your bike and a new one.

Call Suzie Orman's show. She will give you good advice.

Not like my advice. If you can make those payments then you could have set aside the same amount until you could have paid cash.

Total up the interest amount since the first bike. I'm sure it was enough to buy a bike. You're throwing away good money. Each bike is costing you 50% more than paying cash. That my friend is dumb.

Time for a wake up call.

only you can answer the question of whether it is right for you. i'm not gonna say 'don't finance your toys', cause i've financed all 6 of my harleys. i've paid them off early (except for the one i'm paying right now), but don't let the shiny chrome blind you and make you do something stupid.

Yeah, that is where he is at. $15500 for mine. 22500 out the door. Same thing as coming down 2k on the price.

damn spring fever

do a search on here. there are several threads that recommend a dealer to get the extended warranty from.

you do not have to buy it at the time of purchase, just sometime before your factory warranty expires. and you do not have to buy it from the same dealer you bought your bike. that price quoted is way too high.

I wouldn't trade if all you are concerned about is having a warrenty.
In 2 years you are going to owe over $20,000 and then be out of warrenty again.

I personal wouldn't buy an extended warrenty, but I can afford to pay for any repairs I might have.

I have a friend who basicly lives paycheck to paycheck and couldn't afford a $2,000 repair bill, so I can understand why he needs the extended warrenty.

Keep your bike and buy some warrenty for your peace of mind.

Your current bike is a good one, and you should not need the warranty. Ride it, enjoy and spend the cash on gas.

How long is your current loan? 7 or 8 years? If you get a new bike via a trade, never go over 5 years on the financing. If you do the trade, don't finance the negative equity you have in your 09 Ultra. That will help you from being so far underwater.
