I've got a 2013 flhx and I'm getting ready to buy a D&D fat cat 2 into 1 exhaust and I'm trying to decide which baffle to buy. I'm looking at the fuelmoto website and see they have the bigbore baffle or the wrapped (Q) baffle. I do want to hear the pipe I've went to youtube and heard a few but was wondering what some of you guys are running.
I have the big bore on a 107 build and the quite baffel in my road glide wifth the S&S 111 i kind of like the quite after running the other for a couple of years. Just my thoughts
I have the performance baffle on my 2011 Road Glide. It's definitely loud. It'd be to loud for me but I wear ear plugs for the wind noise so I can live with it. I have previous ear problems. Sounds like a big block v8.
You can call Leonard at D&D and he can tell you which baffles will work for your application.
I run a Q baffle on a stock 103 engine with cams. It was medium volume when I installed it but burned in nicely and, after a couple thousand miles, is quite loud.
I also debated about baffles and am now glad I went with the Q baffle because it's anything but quiet after the burn in. Nice rumble at idle and cruise but will wake the dead when I get on it. Unless you ride with earplugs, I'd recommend the Q baffle.
