I was wondering if I can get some opinions here regarding which woods cams would be the best option for me. Right now Im running the SE 103 State IV kit which came with SE 259 cams. Im pushing 116HP and 112TQ. I would like some power however straight through with no drop off. My heads are also CNC polished and ported. And I am using the HD SERT. Which came can someone recomend for what I want? I was looking at the Woods TW-400-6 since they are recomended if I have a 103 with Harleys ported heads.
Then I was also looking at their TW-9F-6 cam. Can anyone explain the difference in them and what could they recomend for what Im looking for or should I just go with the Fuel moto 107 kit and keep some of my parts that i have like my throttle body....heads....injectors and some other things installed
You said "I want power straight through with no drop off". What the hell does that mean? Where doesn't it have the power that you want? The other 2 Woods cams that you mention have a completely different powerband, how do you expect an answer when we don't know what you want.
I called Bob Woods and let him recommend the cam for my build. Thought it would be easier to go straight to the man himself, explain what i had and what i was looking for.
I spoke with Fuel moto and I cant use their kit because my SE MVA heads have a 95cc combustion chamber and I would lose compression so that idea is out unless I sent my old heads in to them for polishing and porting which I dont want to do. So I guess the only other option is to call Woods and speak about cams. Regarding the comment I made where I was asked what the hell does that mean. I mean a more linear power curve. Does that sound a little more better?
actually, there are a ton of answers. use the search bar or google and you will find 1,0000000000000000000000000000000000 threads on cams.
There were a ton of answers here but none that I could find answers for and maybe I should have clarified that my heads have a 95cc combustion chamber. Therefore what would be my best option but I couldnt find that. Believe me I looked over and over but I had to post the question because I couldnt find what I was looking for. After speaking to Fuel moto my question was answered.
