Hey Guys,
I think I'm going to Install 255's in my 07 96" Ultra.I'm taking the tank off to have some paint repair(chip). Can I reuse my standard pushrods being i'm going to take the rocker box covers off anyway or do I need Adjustable pushrods for the different cams? Thanks.
Your not saying how many miles is on your 2007 but if you use the stock pushrods and your lifters start to tap after the install, your going to have to cut the stock push rods and go with adjustable's. Why not just do it now and don't take the gamble. Just MHO.
Thanks Guys, The bike does have 26,500 miles on it.Im buying a set of clean used cams so i will be using my old lifters and pushrods providing they r in good shape and reusable.I'm just trying to do it on a budget with true dual exhuast and a oil cooler.I dont know how long before i trade up(at least not this yr) so im just doing some simple upgrades.

That was my thinking as well. I have a total $275 in my cam upgrade including used cams, new inner bearings and installation at a local Indy shop. I could have saved $125 and did the install myself, but I was going away camping for a long weekend and figured it would give me something to look forward to when I got back.
Good luck! You will definitely notice a big improvement, only downside I found is the hot start issue which is well documented.

The shop did a cam install for $125 labor? That's amazing.
