Timing MAP info
I asked this in another thread with no replys. Using a PV to set up timing and fuel. On the timing maps, one scale is rpm and the other is MAP. I cruise at 3k rpm but don't understand the MAP scale. What % MAP would I be at cruising at 3k flat ground?
there's no set answer for this is why you probably never got a reply. You have to determine how it influences your style of riding. Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Call FuelMoto, they'll help you with the timing and fuel tables for your specific setup.
MAP = Manifold Air Pressure
It does several things. It's partially temperature driven, it measures vacuum at verying throttle postions as well as varying loads on the bike. It also has a lot to do with the injector pulse width to provide accurate A/F ratios.
