Trying to avoid any mods that can cause extra worries or unneeded time sitting on the side of the road, still a rookie to riding compared to most and already had an ignition switch fail 2 hours from home. Really liked my samson longtails on my deluxe and had a set put on my 13 RKC at time of purchase, when i went to pick it up the mechanic warned me that the headpipe for the rear jug has to be broke loose and moved over to remove the side panel to access my fuses. Called samson and they confirmed this. Question is do i just hope for a trouble free touring or bail out of a $900 exhaust i just bought.

IMO its never, NEVER a good idea to make it more difficult to work/repair your ride or anything else for that matter, then it all ready may be. and if the bike's original design wasn't broke why make more work for youeself.
Stupid design for sure. I had a Yamaha that the factory exhaust had to be removed every time you changed the oil. Stupid designs are not just from the aftermarket.
worst case scenario, you have to carry tools to loosen the head pipe. Hope that does'nt cook your paint either. What was this clown at Samsom thinking when he came up with this design?
Dude, that sucks. It sounds like you have the kind of luck I would have. I would really consider seeing what Samson will do for you refund-wise. It is ridiculous for them to sell this product that blocks access to something as primary as the fuse panel. I hope it works out for you bud. Good luck!
