Default remote jump start terminals

Has anyone installed a set of remote jump start terminals behind one of the side covers on their touring bike? I have been thinking of doing this using some wire the same guage as on the battery terminals. I have had to charge the battery once from when I left the ingnition switch on in the garage overnight. I seems it would be nice to have a set of remote battery terminals for jump starting and heavy charging. I have a battery tender cable installed but the 7.5 amp fuse and small wire guage wont work with a 10 amp or larger charger or for jump starting.

Never heard of anyone doing that before but I don't know why it wouldn't work. Semi trucks and ag tractors have them I think it would be a good addition.

Not sure whey you would want to as it takes only one screw to take the seat off to get to the battery or at least on my 02 Ultra. Takes way more for me to get to one of my side covers. What you are talking abut you better make sure the terminals are WELL isolated. You can also got to the big wirer on the starter which comes right off the battery and to ground.

Greg, you will find it easier to remove the keys when you go in the house! Or remember to plug in the battery minder. Or ask your wife to go round the garage checking behind you. Or train the dog to bark at you when you get home on the bike - anything will be simpler than trying to install permanent jump leads FFS!
