Every guy on here with a daughter went "awe" when they saw that great picture. All the rest, at least for a second, wish they had one!
My daughter is 32. Those days when she was little were the best of my life. Having her as a great friend now is pretty cool, too.
Thanks for sharing!
my daughter is 25,used to ride with me everywhere when she was little.now she is married and now i have a 3 yearold grandson.he tells everybody papa is going to get him a motorcycle.i,ve done started looking for one it hard to tell them grandkids no.
Larry64 I think thats why the lord gave me 3 boys, He knew a girl of mine prolly wouldn't have a life. hehe
kroozeabout.
Well, she has two older brothers, 20 and 24. When they were teens and had girl friends it was "that's my boy". Now it's "that's my girl and I know what your thinking".
Very cute man. I bet you're a proud dad! Keep a hold of that picture. They grow up really, really fast. Seems like you turn your head for a second, and suddenly they are all grown up. Enjoy these days.
Thanks guys! I AM a proud Dad! She is a great, resourceful, smart, and full of **** and vinegar little 8yo girl! She knows how to keep me wrapped tight around her fingers. And as some of you have said, the time REALLY does go fast. I get a little mushy when I look at her baby pictures, it just seems like yesterday when her mother brought her into our world.
Being an old school shutter bug from the days of film, I can surely be grateful for today's digital world, I have taken so many fotos. Every year for her birthday I edit a DVD of a year in review for her to music she liked during that time period and a few that have meaning to us, she calls them her baby songs.
Thanks again guys for all your comments, it is nice to see other Dads who cherish these moments and good to see there are still a lot of good noble fathers out there who appreciate the great gifts we are given!
Yesterday we had a PGR mission for a WW II vet. There was a three or so year old boy with Mom and she brought him over to the bikes parked at the funeral home waiting for the escort. It was not long before he was up on seats surrounded by a bunch of momentary Grandfathers and the cameras came out. Then a whole bunch of family members came over and were able to have just a few minutes of relief. For a short moment everyone had a smile. I am a pretty big guy and I think I scared him a little when I shook his hand but leave it to me to ruin a good moment. A nice break for the Mom who lost her own Grandfather as well.
Then graveside at the flag presentation it was handed to the same little boy who was sitting next to his Father who was sitting next to his Grandfather who was sitting next to what appeared to be the brother of the man who had passed. Four generations, I looked over the flag line and every eye was fixed on that little boy. Not one dry eye from some pretty tough old farts. There is a reason I wear dark reflective sunglasses even on a cloudy day at the PGR.
Beautiful young lady. Enjoy every minute, because one morning you will wake up and it will be time to drop her off at college....then when you and the wife are driving home and you look in the rear veiw mirror and there is no one in the back seat....well....so enjoy every moment you have with her.
