This chock works great. I put my SG in it in the garage and no need for tie downs. When I put it in the trailer I put tie downs from the handlebars down to be safe. Just snug
are there different width wheel chocks out there? I was looking at one in the local Cycle Gear store and the guy working there cautioned me that my bagger front wheel was too wide for it or that the fender may hit. I didnt have the bike with me to test it out and theres no rear good way to measure it. If I know the HF unit will fit I guess I can just pick up one of theres.
You are probably talking about the one with the rocker arm in the rear. And yes it will be very close to the fender. I had to cut and reweld for my 11 sg to fit for my comfort.
Does the HF Wheelchock hold the bike up in the garage without any tie-downs? Need the extra room in my small garage. Any info would be appreciated. Ride safe.
Stable as a rock! Be sure you adjust the width. I had mine all the way open for mt '08 SG and couldn't get the bike off by myself unless I strapped it down and pulled the pins which was a bit nerve racking...
I screwed them all the way tight (shortest height) and mounted wafer board to them so I can move them around the garage to different areas and even use them in the trailer.
i've had mine for four years did plywood also i always put a tiedown on mine and leave it in gear but thats because i live in earthquake aera, just had a 5.3 yeasterday otherwise would just leave in gear and it wount come out, just me anyway wasnt home when the quake went off but wife was she checked it out was good. bud
