Default HF wheel chock

i bought the wheel chock and stand it's the black one. my question is when you bolt them down to the floor do you remove the two black plastic pads on the support bar, it keeps the stand off the ground alittle. if you take them off it sits flat on the floor ,but if not bolted down it slids around and is not safe. just wondering how everyone's installing them.

Use it regularly both in the garage and in the trailer....have always left the adjustment pads on.

Does the HF Wheelchock hold the bike up in the garage without any tie-downs? Need the extra room in my small garage. Any info would be appreciated. Ride safe.

Yes it will. I have used it on both my 2010 and 2012 Electra Glide Classics. Sure if you tug on the handle bars, it will shack, but it would take a good amount of fours to turn it over. I have never used tie downs. But if it gives you peace of mind, get ya some short tie downs... You secure them to the legs on the stand, so it would not take up anymore room than the width of the legs.

I have the HD Wheel chock and use it without any tie downs. No problem at all.
I left the black end caps on and bolted it down

I also have the hf wheel chock. I bolted it to a narrow piece of plywood 8' long. That way the bike is on the plywood when going in and out of the chock. Doesn't slide around that way. I can move it to my trailer when needed this way.

are there different width wheel chocks out there? I was looking at one in the local Cycle Gear store and the guy working there cautioned me that my bagger front wheel was too wide for it or that the fender may hit. I didnt have the bike with me to test it out and theres no rear good way to measure it. If I know the HF unit will fit I guess I can just pick up one of theres.

I've been thinking about getting one of these for my garage, was wondering about the need for the tie downs, good to know its stable. Thanks for the tip to use the piece of ply wood also. Cheers!
