dakota digital led gas gauge problem
installed dakota digital led gauges on 2010 road glide custum. look great but gas gauge just blinks 00. Hooked up wires turned on key and 00. turned off key then tried again, turned key on & gauge read an accurate 4.1 but a second later it just started declining until hitting 00 again. never has registered anything else since. the oil temp reads great. any ideas? thanks

I did it many moons ago. If I remember correctly it's not just a plug-n-play. It has to be calibrated, but that should have been covered in the instructions. Contact DD and they can walk you thru it.

hockey, yes it is the right unit. northwoodz, you are right. my buddy is an excellent mechanic but not as great with reading instruction manuals if necessary. after talking with dakota tech we found out the problem. he skipped over the page with calibrating instructions. i am going to calibrate it this evening. thanks for your help.
