That is exactly why so many of us ride. A two hour blast down the road is the same as a two day vacation to most. I once met a guy at the Harley store on a Saturday morning. When we got to talking I asked him what kind of work he did, He said he was a "shrink" and the bike was his therapy. I couldn't help but laugh...and agree.

Any day possible I ride to work and on any other errands I can volunteer for. I get smiles per gallon.

I just finished putting leather treatment on my bags...also just did my boots.
I'll let it sink in and then buff it out. I can hear the clock go tick...tick..tick.
There is a of of pride that goes along with riding a clean and shiny Harley!

I know EXACTLY how you feel!! Had my share of headaches over the past 5 months, getting on the bike makes ALL the difference......

Amen to all. When i'm having a moment my wife and 3 kids will say dad go for a ride! They know dads mood changes when he gets back...ride on, ride strong, ride safe.

+1. If I have an errand to run or if I have to pick something up and it will fit in the trunk or saddle bags-I take the bike. I can't get enough of this thing.

You are all correct. I rode motocross when I was young. I had one metric cruiser but, knew I wanted a Harley. First I bought a softail springer (totaled by a friend) and now have a Road King. It is really difficult to describe the feeling you get when your out on your bike. Someone once asked me " have you ever seen anyone give a metric a second look"? Nope, me neither. However, just like you I have walked around Harley-Davidson bikes in the parking lot and ogled them and been envious of the owners. Now I understand the looks I receive from other guys trying not to break their necks when I first crank my Harley and ride by slowly past them.
