You may have just shown me a reason to reconsider a RG. I debated between the SG and RG, but I chose the SG because very few RG riders were happy with the windshield.

I started out with an 8" Windsplitter, but that just didn't do it. Currently running an 8" LRS Ultra and I have no buffeting at all. I'm 5'11".

Have you tried the LRS Ultra without your deflectors and lowers? How was the buffeting then?

I have the 8 inch LRS Ultra without the deflectors and the buffeting is stronger without the lowers, but not by a whole lot. I take the lowers off in the summer. I use my 8 inch in town and for rides under 400 miles. I use a 12 inch LRS Ultra for long overnight rides. LRS keeps having enough sales to get a windshield pretty cheap.

I put the lowers and deflectors on before I had the Ultra, so I really couldn't say. I've haven't taken either off since they went on. Buffeting was much more noticeable with the windsplitter though.

Where did you find that Clark's? I like the idea of it extending further to the sides than stock. Does it help widden the blast that flows around?

Had 6.5 VStream, very nice shield but needed something a little taller to stop buffering so I went to 8.5 Klock Werks, perfect now. I am 5'9 see over just fine.

Tried at least five different windshields on my SG and I like this one the best, helps push the air around my hands with 14" Monkey bars.
