Default What Would You Do

My wife absolutely does not like the color of my Ultra. So, we've looked at a couple of other bikes that she likes. One is a 2006 Screaming Eagle Ultra and the other is a 2009 Ultra Classic. The 06 has 20k miles on it, has the 103 motor and of course has all the flash of a Screaming Eagle. The 2009 Ultra is a bone stock 96", but it has the new frame and the 6 gallon fuel tank. Would ya go with the new frame and larger fuel tank, or the old frame, smaller tank of the SE, even though the SE has the 103" motor. My bike runs very good and nothing wrong with it, but if the OL can't stomach the color, its gotta go. The 09 also has 42k miles on it. 20k more that the SE. Thanks,

SugsPa

Easy...ditch the wife.

JK...with the two bikes you list, I say the 06 SE is a better option w/all the upgrades...JMO.

Why not have it repainted a color that you both can handle. And then you don't have to start all over.

If you like your current bike and there's nothing wrong with it I would look into repainting it a different color.
But if the repaint is not an option an I was choosing between the the 06SE and the stock 09. I would vote for the 09 because of the 6 speed tranny and larger tank.

Ditto. Ask her what color or color combos she likes, you both work on a design, then have it painted. Relatively easy to remove the tins. May be cheaper to go this route, and you have a custom color combo that she can brag about designing.

I vote for the paint job you both can agree on. If it comes to a tiebreaker, well it is your bike...just sayin.
