I asked for some money for the extras, he just gave me another $500 for the extras!! ...2 weeks ago I went to Vic and metric store and trade in values for my Roadking was $12,800 (that's the KBB) and walked out!! ...I know dealership have to make money but this dealership have a used 2010 Roadking stock pipes, no extras, used tires like my bike, with 8k miles for 17k dollars!! ...And yes,I did check KBB trade in values on my bike (times where HD keep their values are long gone).

First off if it were me I'd pull as many of the extras off as I could before taking it in (specially the ones that would swap over to your new ride). And I would keep checking around. Maybe talk to the sales manager too if you haven't. These guys are in the business to make money, as much as they can. If they can get you to accept that deal on your 2011 then they make a ton on the back end. Obviously. Anyways, good luck getting your new ride.

If the RK has $6K in extras, why not try to sell it yourself? That may help you to get at least some of the money back out of your bike. What are you looking to get as a new bike?
As stated earlier if you are going to trade I would make it as close to stock as you could. Sell the parts you took off to recoup some of your money, or try to sell it outright but look at what you are selling it for vs. the tax difference on trade in. Good luck.
