Does anyone have a link to a good thread about how to install the amp on the Boom Street glide kit? Or is the install so straight forward that a monkey could do it.
I did a search and couldn't really find anything. Found something on how to install the speakers.
I recently installed they same system on mine. It is very straight forward however, you will need the HD adaptor for a rear speaker set up even though you will not use the rear wiring. The only thing I found a challenge was the rear bolts ( ones closest to the inner fairing) once you remove them to place the amp on top of the radio. Getting aligned and started took longer than the entire project took
I installed the amp last summer and recently installed the lower fairing speakers. My advice is that you just take your time - don't rush it. Once you get the wiring and the amp installed then clean up the wiring and tie wrap everything down nicely so that it doesn't interfere with the fairing.
Other then that, the instructions are spot on and if you are like me you will have to read them a couple times to comprehend what the tech writer at HD wrote up.
Enjoy!
