I was out riding yesterday and my bike just quit running while going down the highway.
I have recently installed the Tmax ecm. I have an 04RKC. I was on my second tank of fuel since this installation and fuel filter replacement
When I turn the ignition switch on and the run switch to run the fuel pump turns on but it does not turn off within a few seconds it just continues to run.
I thought it possiblly rubbed a hole in the fuel line but that wasn't the case.
Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated
Hey bear hang, I have a ThunderMax TBW too. Never had any problem with mine, but sounds like you have an electrical issue. Have you tried pulling the connector and using conductive grease? Everyone "highly" recommends you do that, so there must be issues if you don't. Also look at the pins, and make sure one is not bent. If all looks good, send them an email. They have always got back with me pretty quickly. Hope this helps..
So you have done TWO things recently....you've been in the fuel tank messing with the fuel filter and you have installed a Tmax. From what you just said, it must be something related to your work with the fuel filter. Best to retrace your work on that, and follow the service manual guidelines. Sounds like something is leaking and you are not building fuel pressure.

I think you'll find your problem if you follow Joe's suggestion.
Sounds like fuel pump is merely recirculating fuel within the tank.

I agree with you I don't think it has anything to do with the Tmax.
I have now drained my tank and started to pull the fuel pump from what I can see now all the hoses are securely attached and still full of fuel. I followed the service manual step by step during the filter change to hopefully avoid going back in the tank until the next filter change but, here we are again.
I will pull the whole assembly out after breakfast this morning but once it's out and if I find everything is as it should be I am not sure what else check.
Is it possible for the pump to run and not actually be pumping fuel? How would I test this?
look for maybe a hole in a hose , if you can try to look in the tank with the pump down in the tank and turn it on and see if you see any thing spraying out or alot of movement in the tank , could put a preasure gauge on the line outside the tank someplace and turn it on , just be carefull , remember , 1 spark or something and new paint job , tires seat maybe garage if ya get the idea
