Maybe, but I rode next to RG a few years ago with the riders beard being blown up into his eyes. I can't remember if he had lowers, but I will never forget the beard.

Between my previous 2005 and my current 2011 Road glide, I have 110,000+ miles. And no buffeting. Both with lowers, and the right size windshield for my height.

Lowers make a world of difference on a Road Glide. I ride with and without them and without them on there is a wind from below the fairing that contributes to the buffeting regardless of what shield is used, at least that is what I have experienced in almost 25,000 miles on a Road Glide. Thats why Sanchos Shields and GADs sell as well as they do.

The only thing that Stops me is ALL the Windshield threads on this forum about how you get beat to death on a Road Glide compared to the Ultra Classic ,,

Ok Now add into the Mix that I'm 6' 4" tall ,, I would like input on windshields from Road Glide owners who are 6' 2" and up !!
Feel free to give me a call...our shields come is many sizes/options designed to ensure that you have a nice look over, but still get the protection you need. Love to chat about it with you...

Then you must be today's lucky winner!

I had buffeting on mine until I installed my Madstaad. The Sancho's wings helped some too!

Roadglide.org is full of threads about folks trying to control the buffeting, but guess they have never ridden a Road glide either...

I love my bike but they do have buffeting issues stock from the factory...

12 FLTRU so I have lowers, Mustang seat that lowers me 1". When riding solo I have a 14" Windvest and when momma comes along I use a 16" Windvest . I'm 6'2" and Momma is 5'10", I have never had buffeting with either shield but she likes the 16" because it gives her a lot more protection.
