Asked for best deal at Stubbs in Houston for an 07 Street Glide...was told $500 over MSRP! No addtional deals (% off chrome, first service, etc...). I know a lot of people have recently purchsed new bikes, wondering what kind of "deal" you got...
Thanks

Never had good luck with Stubbs on MSRP best to call around to dealers in area and ask what they will sell the bike for. I found that Cowboy HD in Beaumont, TX will normaly sell at MSRP. Good luck.
Milwaukee on Saturday (a few days ago). Without trying hard at all on EC Classic: MSRP with no fees (usually $800+), 1/2 off rider's edge class, plus tax and license. They're keeping it until spring at no charge. I could have done better but they treat me well and there's no use getting hung up on a few hundred dollars on an $18k purchase that I'm financing anyway. Very fun first Harley purchase experience.
Stubbs doesn't put pricing on the bikes...nor do they have anything in the showroom that even says MSRP on it. I have purchased harleys from both Republic and Goe.....both at MSRP....and Goe is just good honest people. They are only 30 miles from Stubbs...in Angleton...and they will give you 10% off on all the parts that you buy from now on....sometimes 20% when a sale is going. All the prices are listed on the bikes...and their labor rate is only $62.00 dollars an hour when you need service.

Is the strike still on???? Supply and demand my friend. Anyway, there are loads of barely used 06's out there at rock bottom prices. Lots of people HAD to have the 96/6.

Louisiana boy here. Just bought mine on Jan. 13at MSRP in Alexandria. Not the best deal I found, but they took my VTX on trade. Can't find many that will take a non Harley on trade. You got to take in to consideration freight and setup charges. They vary greatly from dealer to dealer.
It looks like getting a dealer to come off MSRP quite a task for some folks and others have done OK with it. I ran a poll on it a few days ago and the it surprised me how many paid MSRP or better. It seems like we are so crazy to get our hands on a Harley we will pay retail (MSRetailP), which we never would for a car or a truck. I got my dealer to come off 1500.00 plus throw in free labor for all of the acc I had added to my bike when I bought it. It was a big fuss about the free labor, they kept saying those guys were independant of the deal, and I kept saying "I don't care", there are bike dealers every where and if you don't need thier help with $$, take your own cash in the store and flash it around they will come off of the price. You have to be in a place of POWER to deal. You can't be asking for money and need it at 20% interest and expect them to come off of MSRP. Take in about 10 -15 grand and watch em drool over you.
