Thanks, yes I am aware of the issues with keeping them clean. The rotors I will be running will be polished as well. So we will see how it goes.
I don't commute on my bike, I need my truck for work, so, If it's not that bad after a year I'll leave them. If they look like **** I'll get them chromed.

There is nothing special about the spacer itself.

The ABS bearing is 3 mm thicker than the non-ABS side. This extra thickness accommodates the encoding mechanism that is read by the ABS sensor ring to determine wheel rotation specifics.

On the ABS side of the front, the ABS sensor acts as the actual spacer for keeping the wheel in position. The ABS chrome and black spacers sold by HD , WS, and others serve only to "cover" the ABS sensor ring on the front.
