For a long ride, you"ll need the rack on top of the tp,and armrests for the wife. I've seen some tourpacks complete on CL and ebay. Once you get used to having the tp,it's hard to go without it!
If I had to order my King TP again I would have ordered it drilled for a chopped TB back rest. My long rides are solo and I have the TP as my backrest. With the armrest back rest on it interfered with leaning the bike so I replaced it with chopped:
King Pak on my 09 Street Glide also. L.E.D. wrap-around lights, liner and dual shorty antennas just for looks. Quick detach also for local riding. No regrets.
Also have the Hog Tunes speaker pods on the Tour Pak but wasn't thinking when I put them on. Take the Pak off and loose your speakers. DUH!! Put them on just after the snow flew last fall and will pick up my bag lids and bag speakers next weekend. Plan ahead. Also if you are looking for led wraparound lights HD sells them for just under $500 but the same can be found on e-bay for $140. Not HD but that's a chunk of coin.
