Default License Plate Relocation on a FLHTC

Is it true that this relocation kit can not be used on a 2013 FLHTC? If that is the case, what other options are available to relaocate the license plate bracket under the tail light to clean up the rear fender when tour pack is removed?

Will the components from the Street Glide transfer over to accomplish the same thing? Thanks

"Bullet Rear Turn Signal Bar and License Plate Relocation Kit

Accent the long and lean look of your Touring bike. This complete kit moves your license plate from the support bar to the rear fender tail for a true custom look. The kit includes a Bullet Turn Signal Bar with integrated down-lighting for the license plate, bullet turn signals, chrome rear fender tip, and decorative trim to cover the original license plate mounting holes.

Part Number: 53702-04A

Fits '99-'08 Touring models. '99-early '03 models require separate purchase of Tail Light Socket P/N 68370-03A."

I bought the relocation bracket from Soft Brake and have two LED license plate bolts. I've not installed yet, waiting on the fender rail covers to come in for the docking kit.

I bought the laydown that goes on top of the tail light so I didn't have to buy the tail light with the plate illumination lens on the bottom. Measured thrice and drilled once. Not hard and it looks good.

I previously had a 09 SG rear turn signal light assy on my bike. To keep the rear led light on EG I wired the tag light across that same plug worked fine. I got the SG light assy used for $100. The kit you saw will work to but to keep both tag led & and rear fender led you'll have to do what I did with SG bar. I later bought a used '10 SG rear fender from guy on forum for under $200 and that's what you see now in my pic.

Used a Lazer Star LSM100 mount that goes behind the turn signal bar. Mounted a 6" Radianzt License plate light 8200-52 above the plate at the top of the mount. I was going to use a RK tail light lens without the window in the top but didnt need it. Only took about 2 hours to install.
