WHATS NORMAL
05 Ultra with security. When bike is started the security lite stays on for say 3 to 5 seconds. Is this normal when just started.. If not what am I looking for and will something tell me there are codes to check without digging for them..I read somewhere here how sort of to check for codes but the way it explained it maybe was something not clear as I do not for sure know if I do or do not gave something wrong.

Is your bike stock or did you upgrade the ignition system with a power commander? When I installed my power commander, it did the same thing and I called the folks at Dynojet and they told me that it was normal as it was not seeing a spark signal right away and then after it was started, it would go away and stay out. If your having problems with the stock system, take it back and let them fix it for you. You should not have any lights after it times out the first time.
