Help With Acc Switch
I am stumped. I was wiring up some extra fairing LED lights on my 04 EGC to the acc switch. What I did was installed a pig tale wire spliced into the orange wire coming directly off the bottom orange wire coming from the switch. Turned on bike and checked voltage with meter switching on then off to make sure I had the correct wire to lead to the LED light. Yes it worked but in my excitement, the pigtale touched ground and pop.. Ok fuse NP. 15 amp acc fuse good but I replaced it anyway. Switch does not work existing lights that are connected under seat do not work. no power is getting to the switch, I checked all the fuses in side cover box and all good. Is there a hidden fuse or link that is preventing power to the switch? What that small circuit board on the backside of the switch? or is the switch blown.

need to check and see if you have power coming to the switch , I like a test light over a meter on this type of stuff , sometimes a meter can give you false readings and a light is easier , if you have power to the switch and none coming out , bad switch , if no power to switch then start rechecking fuses , did you check them for power or continuity and did you remove them to check them

No test light but checked with meter and no power to the switch. I checked all the fuses in the fuse box with a meter and was getting a reading. I will pull the fuses and check them again. I will pull the switch and recheck it.
