I've been thru a bunch of them. For pure touring My Road Zepplin with adjustable air bags was the best. My girlfriend said it was the best she ever sat on. I'm running a mustang now and very happy.
Most HD Dealers have a seat demo program, so you can try before you buy. Seats are very much an item that is not universal for everyone. What works for me, probably wont work for you. Try a few different ones out and see what fits you.
We have the Ultimate 2pc set. We test rode this last summer and had one on my Valkyrie the year before. It will replace my Hammock(sold already). I have not got to ride with it yet.
Some like a hard firm seat and some of us need a cushion.
I have had Corbin (too hard), Mustang (not bad), and my all time favorite "Sundowner." I liked the Sundowner out of the box but made it even better by sending it to Mean City Cycles to add memory foam.
if you lowered you bike make sure the shocks are set for the lower shock settings.
having said that, I had MCC redo a stock road glide seat with great success. however, I hated it for the first few hundred miles but once it compressed it was great. sort of like a mildly hard Corbin seat. i had very good customer service experience.
the perfect seat is hard to find unless you have a fat ***.
