It comes down to what works for you, but the Harley Sundowner works well on my Road King.

Lots of discussions here on this subject and you'll find a "yes/no/maybe" answer for pretty much any question you ask on the subject. unclecurt pretty much nailed it.

I have run a sundowner on my night train for 2 up but picked up a corbin dueltour on the streetglide that I have now. (great seat but firm) Seems like Mustang and corbin are the popular aftermarket choices if you dont go with HD products.

A lot of folks including myself are very happy with C&C saddles.

Sports Touring and Solo seats.

Good Luck,

YB

I've heard good things about Mustang seats but no experience with them. I have the sundowner and like it alot over stock seat. Not as much room for the wife as the stock seat though

I have the Sundowner. I have nothing to compare it to other than the stock seat. And I have Sundowner on my Sporty, with over 70,000 miles logged on that seat.

Not saying it's the best, but I like them. Guess my butt just fits well with the Sundowner seats.

+1 , sundowner for me too...
if it helps...I did try a corbin seat and the one I had was kind of like a bowl so it made it more uncomfortable to put my legs down at stops. I mention this because you wrote the RK seat was wide at the front.
