Angry Security Issues

So I put the battery back in my 2010 Electra Glide to fire it up and start getting it ready for summer. Had it on a lift, put the battery in fired right up then a red key light came on in the dash. Now it won't roll over. Looked it the owners manual and in the service manual but it looks like I need a pin #. I bought the bike last fall and never had any trouble. Did not get a fob from the previous owner he said it didn't have one.Should there have been a fob? WTF happened?

That's really suspicious. So you fired it up on the lift? Did the motor stall while it was running? My main question is....how did you start it in the past with no FOB? Like I said, sounds suspicious to me. A bike that gets passed between folks without a FOB is not a good story. The main question is ...why the hell does it not have the FOBs?

No fob = no security system.....or one that's been disabled

i had an instance once where i couldn't figure out why my new 2013 flhtk wouldn't start. started to get really pissed trying to figure out what the freaking problem was.....then it dawned on me, i left the key and the fob in the house......talk about feeling stupid. needless to say that once it was in proximity and i tried again, it started right up.
glad you found the problem.
