Plus it solves my dirty wheel issue. I just put new tires on so next time I think I'll do this.

I didn't really know which route to go, and everything is so expensive!! I found these used so went for it. I would have liked to have went with a 18 or maybe even 19 Fat Spoke Wheel.... but no Wide White Walls.... Being glued to white walls really limits some of your options - I know it did mine. I like the 21" wheel with white walls, but the wife thought they looked a little too extreme. I like them, but didn't really think it was for me.

Whatever you do, post pics when you pull the trigger! :-)
C.H.L...

Yea, I know! After I got all excited about the 28 spoke, started looking around and, sure enough, only available in 17 for the front. Oh well, back to the drawing board. I am like you, I am really limited by wanting WWWs. Not a deal breaker, but would prefer them if at all possible. Something about them, on the right bike, just adds that extra pizazz..

I called a company out of Ohio (Bikes 2NV) yesterday they wanted $899 for the pair of chrome air strike(OEM)wheels. 5 day turn around (plus my wheels) Harley wants $499 for each wheel and I keep my old wheels. $100 more but only 1 day down time. Thinking about doing the lower legs at the same time.

Oh yeah, lower legs and new wheels... the front end will get a complete extreme make over

I vote for spending the $100 more... then selling your wheels for $200-$300 (just guessing) and re-cooping some of your $$

Is there something wrong with the 17" up front? I personally like my 17" with the 140/80 tire. I think it handles better than my 16" with the 130/80 tire......

No, nothing wrong at all with the 17" I've also considered going 21" on the front. I REALLY dig the way that looks. Both have the same issue though, availability of WWWs in those sizes. I'd like to have that option. I know you can get the shinko in the 17 and hogpro has a 21 www so it's doable, I would just like more options.... Oh well, FIRST thing I gotta do is swap out my bars anyway, tired of the burning at the base of my neck! lol

I used Ricks Plating, out of Garden Grove Ca. sent lots of stuff, wheels, rotors, calipers pully, screws and accessories, when I received things back, NO real pully, or pully sleeve,
No screws, NO accessoris, for the calipers, rotor screws missing, Called three times now to get him to send the rest of the parts, says first time, well the end of the week, then it was at the first of the week, now it's at the end of the week.
I phoned him, followed up with an e-mail.
Now I have to get the catalog out and price out how much each of the parts cost, and probably will have to file a challenge with PayPal, to get my money back for the parts he did not send.
Also this will hold up me getting my bike back together by 3 weeks, just because of their incompetence.
the good side of the story, they did an awesome job on chroming the wheels.
