Just an FYI for any of you who run into the need to replace your front brake light switch. I broke mine about a year ago and have been using the set screw method described on this forum. Worked great but finally gave out. I called my local HD dealer and the parts guy told me about a new brake switch that drag specialties carries. Looks exactly the same as HD but he said the pin in the switch seemed a little more sturdy, and here's the kicker
HD Front Brake Switch $60..
Drag Specialties Front Brake Switch $16
All I did was cut the wires to the old switch, then soldered and heatshrink the new switch wires to the existing wires. The wire colors are even the same as the stocker.
Kudos to the parts guys at Destination Harley for not trying to sell me the most expensive HD part.
