Default super solo with backrest

Just installed my 15" vintage solo with backrest & 13.5 pillion and went for a half hour ride. The seat moved me forward and up compared to my stocker. After a half hour my azz cheeks were on fire and i had to stop. I really dont like the forward part or feel of the 15".(34-5" inseam) Has anyone compared the 15" vintage solo to the 17" super solo? mustangs web doesn't show the super solo 17" with a back rest but a search on this forumn does, pn# 79446 anyone running this & is it more comfortable?
thx: Hoping i didn't just waste 800. + dollars

I'm running the super solo and I think the seat is a bit firm so I don't know about the comfort. Its prob more me than anything so its hard to say. The backrest is superb I can attest to that....prob the best I've ever had....combined with the apes I've got a winning combination.

What Part # do you have?

I am running a Mustang solo w/ backrest, # 79600. It moved me down and then back about an inch and a half as I measured before and after install.

A bit firm yes, but very supportive. Have not had it too long but a small couple hundred mile ride went by with no issues on my rear end. I am a lighter rider, what do you weigh? Maybe the super would do you better if you are a person of larger stature.

I know exactly what you're talking about. I have #79602 and to me, it kept me basically in stock position. I'm 6'3"/35" inseam/215# and I thought long and hard between the solo/super solo. A couple talks with Mustang reps convinced me to stay with the vintage over the super solo due to the fact that although the super does move you back, it also increases your reach to the bars at least 2.5" more. Yeah, I'm longer inseam but I already have KW +2 sweepers installed and I don't want to reach any more forward (my arms are average length). As far as comfort, I don't know if the extra seating area will make any difference. Firm is firm and pressure points seem to be centralized in the seating area.
