I didn't get the headsets with my bike when I purchased it and been looking at the ones forsale. Can someone tell me the difference between the 98 and 98A models? Is it a reliability issue or more cosmetic?
I still haven't open the box with the head set that came with my bike. Friends of mine have bought some nice blue tooth sets that they seem to really like. They work with their half and full helmets, they're wireless and they can connect to the iPhone/iPod for music.
I haven't really had a need for an intercom system so far but if i did I would definitely be looking at aftermarket Bluetooth systems.
You didn't mention whether or not you were thinking of buying from the stealer, but if so, take a look at this website: www.imcmoto.com/
They used to supply the headsets to Harley and I think they still do. either way, same quality(?), much cheaper. The way I break headsets, I'm glad someone pointed me to them. Ride safe.

Thanks for the link. I just would like to have a set of headsets to communicate with my gf and people I'm riding with via the cb. I'll most likely stick with the stock wired ones at this point. Was looking at buying someones that didn't use them, but wanted new in the box either way.
Irish, believe your right. But the stealer wants $190. and I don't think the new headsets are worth it, over the less than $100. iMC's. I have both and can't tell the difference, but I have "old" ears.

I think it's just the size of the boom and length of cord.
