Quick fluids question please advise
Going to take a 2,000 mile trip this weekend, it is both ways will return on the following Sunday and wont do much riding at the destination. want to change my fluids before I leave. Oil, filter and primary, cant get HD stuff. What do you use. I get Castrol, Mobil 1, quaker and some other autozone stuff here in torreon mexico. What would you use for hot weather as far as oil and Primary. Both bikes, I will be ledning a bike to a friend, both just had solid 5000 mile service, but both have at at 1600 on them since the serivice, normally I would wait but I going through mountains and dessert roads. I ride them both alot! What would you use if not HD stuff. I am not a mechanic. RIde safe all.
There are those who would tell you that the HD fluids are crap... (dunno myself, but i don't use them, i like amsoil personally) but of the ones you listed, i'd say the mobil 1 would be the one i'd choose, likely even before i'd choose the HD stuff.
