No pig snot is not silicone , it does not turn white like silicone on the black wrinkle paint.
It keeps chrome from rusting.

A can last about three sprayings
It works much better than wd40 or silicone.

The S100 is in an aerosol can for about $10.00. I think it can be purchased at any Harley dealer. I have never used any pork snot because the S100 works so damn good. It has a movable spray nozzle on it than can be used in crevices and tight spots. I do my engine once a year and it always looks new. A can will probably last a couple of years. You don't spray the stuff on till it runs, just a light coat.
Good stuff.
i use capt. richards and it never comes back. formaly known as the bom. also pledge works very well ...i would not use wd40 on a painted aluminun it is a penatrating.

Interesting history as well -- during the first WW the troupes used it as shaving cream. It is completely nontoxic and used in the food industry to clean and lubricate equipment.
