Had both done at the same time 7 or 8 years ago....take your mess and do PT and don't look back .....only thing is......... you have to keep moving so after a long ride get off and move around but I crawl .....and up and stairs no problem
I've had both knees done 12 years ago. No problems riding. I go in tomorrow to get the plastic replaced in the right knee and the left will be done in September.
As long as you do your therapy correctly and keep it up you shouldn't have a problem. I was riding 4 months later, could have road before that had to wait on winter. I walk 3 and a half miles a day. Can't even tell it from my normal knee. Doesn't bother me to ride at all. Good luck.
Hey guys, thank you all for the encouragement. My physical therapy is now finished and it feels strong enough. The range of motion is 125 degrees so that should be fine too.
I appreciate the comments from everyone. Just knowing I'm with others that have a prosthetic knee is great to hear. I'll be trying it out here in another few weeks when it warms up.

You must be superman. I finished my pt and only reached 112 degrees and it is dropping. I don't quite know how to increase it. I'd give a lot to reach 125.
Ride on.
My neighbor is 58. He fell out of a tree (long story) and fractured his leg, back, pelvis. He was 49 when it happened. He got a mersa infection and it kept him in and out of the hospital for 3 years. He is currently missing part of his pelvis, has a rod in his femur, and has both hips replaced. One he was able to, he walked out to his garage, got on his old intruder, and left. A couple days later he comes riding home with his brother on an 05 Dyna Lo. He still rides 2 or 3 times a week, weather permitting.
