I got these off with winshield washer fluid from a gas station...
I don't think any of us will ever have to clean off any bugs ever again, I think FordHD just got 'em all!
I read somewhere that Windex and other chemicals can jack up bike windshields.... I know my heritage had a coating coming off or something, looked like pure crap. Got a new windshield, and only used water on it, and it always looked clear and new. - I'm really dissapointed no one suggested laying a wet towel on the shield for a few minutes, then just wiping them off...
Looks more like you were behind a cattle hauler. Man, that's a lotta bugs!!!!
Actually I was on my way back from Sturgis and as it got dark coming down I-35 (I think) parallel to the Mississippi River in Iowa, it was absolutely horrible. I had bugs in every crevice of the bike to include the battery box.
Most motorcycle friendly motels make their old towels available for bug removal.
I carry 210 for removing a great big dead bug from my visor if I do not have time to soak a small microfiber cloth I carry and wait the few minutes it takes to soften and remove said bug.
Soaking it with a wet towel for ten minutes works so well and leaves no residue or marks that is my preferred method.
All you really need is water - lay a wet towel over the shield/fairing and let it soak for 10 min to soften them up. Then wipe off! Works on helmet shields too.
Ditto! bike and helmet. Doesn't scratch the lens of your helmet either...
