I just changed out my stock HD battery, turned out it was 90 dollars out the door for an AGM battery at Advance Auto
The battery looks identical to the stock battery except the base is white, all casting, shape, etc is twin to the OEM battery except for the HD logo and color
Then at checkout, add the discount code DOW14 for 50 dollars off if you buy on line and pickup at the store. They will charge you 10 dollars core, but you get it back immediately. My final price was 90.33, pretty cheap for an AGM
400 CCA, and seems to be working perfectly. I think the 50 dollars off is only until 5 Apr, but if you do a search there are other Advance discount codes
The one time I didn't use OEM it turned out to be JUNK. I would suggest you buy a battery tender, no matter what you buy. I use mine all the time( everyday) unless I'm on a road trip. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.
Oh I have a battery tender, thats the salt in the wound
The bike sits inside safely, right next to an outlet, along side my truck. However, when I pull the truck in, I can't get to it.
I didn't plug it in, and every few days I said, "I should plug that battery charger in".....LOL well I didn't, and I got to buy a battery
I think the battery was getting tired last year though, it seems to crank very fast and the motor feels like it has a bit more snap. At least that makes me feel better
