Default Battery

I have a 2001 RK that needs a battery. Anyone using Yuasa and how is it holding up?

Unless they've improved to gell cell or AGM, don't waste your time. Yuasa made good batteries when everything was lead/acid, but the time for the old drip tube is long past. Harley's stock AGM, or Odyssey's are better batteries & don't require any maintenance.....other than a battery tender.

Just replaced my battery in my 06 RKC. Did a lot of considerable amount **** research and shopping. I ended up ordering a Scorpion battery from batterystuff.com. The battery specs were identical to the HD battery and in fact had little higher cca (390cca). The battery is AGM and was an exact fit. The battery cas was identical in every detail to my original HD battery with the exception of the HD log stamped into the case. Batterystuff sells Scorpion and Universal...am guessing they are made by the same company and it wouldnt surprise me if if the HD batteries come from the same company. They were easy to deal with and responded to a number of questions I had promptly. The cost of the battery was 99.00 including shipping. I ordered order the battery this past wednesday and had it at my door on Friday via USPS. That was from Oregon to Erie, PA......unreal. The battery cam well packaged. No sales tax, and 30-40 dollars less than the OE battery. Base replacement warranty is 1 year I believe. We'll see how it works out...but so far I'm very pleased
