Default Battery Tender

Anyone have a preferance of a certain type of battery tender over another? Or are they all pretty much the same? I'm in the process of buying one and just wanna know if there's something to watch out for. Thanks.

I have a Battery Tender Plus. $40 at O'Reilly's. The one H-D sells is a rebadged Battery Tender.

There are one or two manufacturers that make them and they are all repackaged. Just like damn near everything else these days.

Amazon is a good source for battery tenders. I have the jr. and Battery Tender Plus. They both work the same, great.

I use battery tenders on just about everything, farm tractor, ZTR lawn mowers, gator, motorcycle and my muscle car.

I have 4 Die Hard ones from Sears and 2 Schumacher ones from Wal-Mart. They are all several years old and work great.

This time of year you can usually get a great deal on the Die Hard ones at Sears.

The Schumacker 1.5 amp tender has all the features and is about $20 at Walmart.

I have had up to 9 bikes and six cages on them at one time. Some for a year or more. I have run them over with a car and they kept going. Some are ten years old. None have ever failed.

The processor in them does all the features such as detecting if sulfates are building up and going into a mode to correct that.
