I won't bad mouth anyone's system, but I will tell you for what you would spend on a Hawg Wired system you can put together an equal or better system for less $$$.

I started with a Hawg Wired 6 Pack system. It was loud, almost ear bleeding highs though.

I then went to a Rockford Fosgate PBR300x4 with four RF T165 speakers because I added the lowers.

I'm now running a SoundStream 4.520D amp with four Polk 6.5" and two Polk 6X9s.

I've spent my share on audio upgrades. I wish the SoundStream was available when I first started all this. It sure would have saved me a great deal of money.

If I was to do it again, I'd start with the SoundStream amp and two Polk MM651 speakers and Hawg Wired's speaker adapters and grills. Then when you're ready to add more speakers you don't have to be like me spending more money.

One thing for sure, everyone has their audio preferences and opinions. Research, research, research before you plunk your money down. Take a look in this forums audio section, lots of great info there.

the amp works fine in other modes, just XM that's not as loud so the issue isn't the amp but something else.

DING DING DING! This is great advice. I know audio systems both auto and motorcycle very well but with that said what sounds good to me may sound either incredible or horrible to you. You have to know what you want to accomplish as an end result BEFORE you begin your adventure of spending $ on audio. Slapping components together that aren't matched, speakers, amps, radios is a futile effort and can only have 1 ending for you sir. Unhappy and spending more $ to make it right.

Go to bike nights, go to dealers, etc. and listen to bikes and their different setups. Only YOU can make YOU happy..

Somebody asked if the amp was pretty set or needed to be adjusted. I was answering his question. I have zero issues with the amp.
