I ordered a complete set of pads for my 08 Ultra after checking pad thickness, I thought they were worn thin.
Got new pads come today and was surprised to see they were about the same thicknessas the old ones on the bike. Turns out they were not that thin, I guess. Bike has 11000m on it.
The new pads are about 1/8" thick or less.
Anyone else have that happen. Well I have a set of pads when they do wear out.
New factory HD pads for the newer Brembo's are .150" thick. I run mine down to about .030" or .040" and then start thinking about replacing them, which I've only done to the rear (just recently) so far. Fronts are getting close. My bike has just over 40,000 miles on it now.
